Hey Kind Travelers, I’m Claire – the voice behind World Kind
Growing up, I felt a deep respect for animals and their place in the world. They don’t have a voice like we do, which is why I’ve always been passionate about advocating for them—gently encouraging others to see their beauty and worth along the way. That same respect guides my travels—I’m committed to exploring new places in a way that honors nature and prioritizes animal welfare.
After years of exploring the world and working in the travel industry (yes, even in the “complaints department”), I’ve learned exactly where trips go wrong—and how to make them unforgettable. I pour my heart into researching and planning, ensuring every adventure aligns with my ethics as a vegan traveler, while leaving plenty of room for spontaneity and thrill-seeking.
So whether you’re here for vegan city guides, tips on ethical wildlife encounters, or travel planning advice that actually works, you’re in the right place.
Let’s explore this wild and wonderful world together—adventures for the kind and curious who travel like they give a f**k.

Where I’ve Travelled
I’ve travelled through 29 countries so far, and every place has left its own unique mark on my journey. I called Australia home for over a decade—soaking up endless horizons—and then dove headfirst into the vibrant chaos of India. I’ve trekked ancient trails to Machu Picchu, wandered through the dense jungles of Sumatra, and marveled at the surreal salt flats of Bolivia. Each destination has pushed me to embrace adventure with unbridled curiosity and a dash of daring.
Standout moments:
- Amazon Awakening: Volunteered at Inti Wara Yassi in the Bolivian Amazon, getting up close with cheeky spider monkeys.
- Wild Jungle Trek: Ventured into Sumatra in search of wild orangutans—an experience that left me utterly spellbound.
- Ocean Escapades: Snorkeled with graceful manta rays in Indonesia and swam alongside sea turtles on the Great Barrier Reef.
- Face-to-Face with Giants: Came head-to-head with mighty Komodo dragons—raw, unforgettable encounters with nature’s power.
- Down Under Delights: Explored sacred spots in Australia where wild koalas snooze and dingoes (or even wombats) roam free.
- American Soundscapes: Tuned into local music scenes across the USA—from soulful buskers in New Orleans to the eclectic beats that define city streets.

Why World Kind?

The name World Kind is a reflection of my core belief: this planet, and the creatures we share it with, deserve kindness. It’s not just about being “humankind” but something bigger – kindness for the world itself.
As a vegan for over 15 years and a vegetarian since the age of 6 , this philosophy guides everything I do, including how I travel. People often ask, “Isn’t it hard to travel as a vegan?” And my answer is always: “It’s not as hard as you think.” Sure, it takes effort, but the rewards are immense – from stumbling upon underground vegan food scenes to discovering “accidentally vegan” dishes, and even learning how to communicate my needs with locals who whip up incredible plant-based meals.
This blog is my way of showing you that ethical, vegan, and sustainable travel is not only possible – it’s deeply fulfilling.
